Combining Reiki energy with other modalities

As many Reiki practioners and Masters as there are, there are that many ways of doing a Reiki energy healing session. I would like to talk about the benefits of combining modalities to increase the benefits of a Reiki healing session. My practice includes Reiki energy healing which in itself works on all levels of healing for spiritual growth, stress reduction, physical and mental dis-ease or discomfort and many situations that are in need of special attention or healing.
Reiki is wonderful for anything from headaches to heartache....from depression or stress to fibromyalgia, heart trouble, cancer or muscle tension. The list is so long of what Reiki can be helpful for that I would run out of space here to tell you about it. So, please just understand that Reiki can help any problem as long as you are open to the process.
In my practice in Phoenix, Arizona, I combine many modalities with Reiki energy for a powerful and deep healing experience. I sometimes receive spiritual insights or messages while working with clients. In order to first clear the healing space, I start by using my crystal singing bowl to clear any stagnant or negative energy that may be in that space from before the session started. I can also use this method of clearing on the client's aura and chakras. The particular crystal singing bowl that I use is a practioner's bowl that has a handle on it so that I can move the bowl around you or the room as needed. It's tuned to the F note which corresponds to the heart chakra. When I use the bowl to open up your heart chakra, this allows for healing to take place on a deeper level.
I also use aromatherapy in the healing space to further clear and open the session for you and whatever needs to happen for your highest good. This will also help with any blocks that you may have before we start the session. And it protects the space from any unwanted energies.
Reiki practioners sometimes use prayer and/or meditation as well, before starting a session. This helps us to connect to Source..the Universe, to God...whatever you wish to call your higher power. A candle can be lit and a prayer spoken or said silently to bring in extra helpers, such as Angels and guides as well. I ask that they help me to act as a channel for the Reiki healing energy and for help with healing for my client's highest good.
I may also add anything special that my client requests or that I feel would be helpful. Laying on of stones is an ancient way of increasing the healing energy of the Reiki practioner. I enjoy using my intuition to choose stones for each person and their particular needs.
I am intuitively guided to use certain stones and I also work with the color stones of the chakras and combine this with Reiki energy. I have used Reiki both with and without gemstones and do notice a difference in the energy and in the results with my clients. Anyone can add gemstones and crystals to their energy healing practice. The energy of each stone has been studied and documented by geologists. This is not just a metaphysical phenomenon. It's real science too!
Have you ever noticed you were drawn to one type or color of stone more than another? There may be a reason for that. There are whole books written on the metaphysical and healing aspects of gemstones and crystals.
During my sessions with my clients, I have found that often times I will receive information for them while I'm within their energy field and connected to their and my Angels and guides. This information can be invaluable for the people I work with in their healing process.
